Professor Ming-Yuan Huang Honored with the 2026 Henry Walton Prize

Dr. Ming-Yuan Huang, Associate Professor at the School of Medicine, College of Medicine, has been awarded the 2026 Henry Walton Prize for his paper, “Empowering Medical Students with AI Literacy: A Curriculum Development Journey,” published in the international journal Medical Education. The Henry Walton Prize is announced each year for the most downloaded “Really Good Stuff” paper published in the full preceding year. The winning paper can be from any published year of the journal.

Prof. Huang focuses on AI literacy among medical students, sharing practical experience in curriculum design and providing concrete and feasible models for course development in response to the AI era.

This award is not only a major milestone for Prof. Huang,  but brings great honor to the MMU College of Medicine. It highlights Prof. Huang’s outstanding achievements in medical education research and reflects our efforts and accomplishments in advancing innovative medical education and interdisciplinary integration.
